All these kings will be almost immoral in their conduct. They will all rule in different provinces at the same time. These will be liars, unrighteous, and lowly in heart. They will become angry over small things during the age of kaliyuga.
These evil people will not hesitate in killing women, children, cows, Brahmins. They will always be eager to grab someone else’s wife and money. Neither will it take long for them to grow nor to decrease. Angry in a moment and satisfied in a moment. Their strength and lifespan will be short. There will be no traditional rituals in these. They will not perform their duties. Become blind due to Rajogun and Tamogun.
They will loot and plunder and suck the blood of their people. When such people rule, the nature, behaviour and speech of the country’s people will also change. The kings will not only exploit them, they will also oppress each other and ultimately all of them will be destroyed.
Religions of kaliyuga
Time is very powerful; As the severe Kaliyuga approaches, religion, truth, purity, forgiveness, mercy, age, strength and memory power will gradually disappear. During the age of Kaliyuga, people will consider the one who has wealth as noble, righteous and virtuous. The one who has power in his hands will be able to make the system of justice favourable to him. There will be no value of family, morality, ability etc. For marriage, the relationship will be based only on the mutual interest of the young man and the girl.
There will be no skill in behaviour, truth and honesty. The more deceit and deception he can employ, the more tactful he will be considered. The basis of superiority of men and women will not be their modesty and restraint but only their sexual skills. A Brahmin will be identified not by his qualities and nature but by the sacred thread. One who is unable to give a bribe will not be able to get proper justice from the courts. The more clever one is in his speech, the greater he will be considered a scholar. There will be only one identity of being guilty – being poor. The more arrogance and hypocrisy a person can show, the greater he is.
Change in the mindset of People
Only acceptance of each other will be sufficient for marriage, there will be no need for classical rituals. Getting your hair done and getting dressed in clothes will be considered as bathing. People will consider the distant pond as a pilgrimage site and will ignore the nearby pilgrimage sites. Keeping big hair on the head will be considered a sign of physical beauty. The biggest effort of life will be to fill one’s stomach. The more boldly one can speak, the more truthful he will be considered. The biggest sign of ability and cleverness would be that a person takes care of his family. Religion will be consumed for fame.
The one who is brave among Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas or Shudras will become the king. The despicable kings of that time will be extremely cruel and ruthless. They will be so greedy that no difference can be made between them and the robbers. They will snatch away even the people’s capital and wives. Fearing them, the people will run away to the mountains and forests. At that time the people will fill their stomachs by eating various types of vegetables, roots, meat, seeds etc. It will never rain – there will be drought; So sometimes taxes will be imposed.
Change in weather conditions
Sometimes harsh weather conditions will be there. Sometimes it will be cold, sometimes there will be frost, sometimes there will be storms, sometimes it will be hot, sometimes there will be flooding. Due to these atrocities and conflicts among themselves, the people will suffer greatly and will be destroyed. People will remain sad due to hunger, thirst and various kinds of worries. They will never get relief from diseases. In Kaliyuga, the life expectancy of humans will be only twenty or thirty years.
Change in Physical Appearance
Due to Kaliyuga’s defect, the bodies of living beings will start becoming small, emaciated and disease-ridden. Hypocrisy will become dominant in religion. Kings and emperors will become like dacoits and robbers. People will start earning their living through various types of misdeeds like theft, lies and innocent violence etc. People of all four castes will become like Shudras.
Cows will become smaller and give less milk like goats. The people of the detached ashrams will also start doing business like householders by collecting household items. Plants of grains like paddy, barley, wheat etc. will start becoming smaller. Most of the trees will remain small and thorny like Shami. There will be a lot of lightning in the clouds, but there will be less rainfall.
Nature of Humans
The houses of the householders will become desolate due to lack of hospitality or due to decrease in population. By the end of Kaliyuga, the nature of human beings will become like that of donkeys. People will mostly bear the burden of household and will become dependent. In such a situation, to protect the religion, God himself will incarnate by accepting Sattva Guna.
The omnipresent Lord Vishnu is omnipotent. Despite being in all forms, He is the true teacher of the world. He incarnated to protect the religion of sages and gentlemen. To cut the bondage of their karma and to liberate them from the cycle of birth and death.
The incarnation of Kalki
In those days, there will be a great Brahmin named Vishnuyash in Sambhal village. His heart will be very generous and full of devotion to God. It is in their house that Lord Kalki will incarnate. Lord Kalki is the only shelter of the eight Siddhis and all the virtues. He is the protector and master of the entire living world. He will ride on a fast-moving horse named Devadatta and will correct the wicked by killing them with the sword. Rays of incomparable brilliance would be emanating from his every pore. He will roam on the earth and will kill millions of bandits hiding in the guise of a king.
When all the bandits will be destroyed, then the hearts of the people will be filled with purity. Because the air, which has become extremely pure after touching the body parts of Lord Kalki, will touch them. In this way they will be able to get the divine fragrance of Lord Kalki’s idol. Lord Vishnu will reside in their pure hearts and then their children will start becoming healthy and strong like before. Hari, who is pleasing to the eyes of the people, is the protector and master of religion. When the same Lord will incarnate in the form of Kalki, then Satyayuga will begin. The descendants and lineage of the people will themselves be filled with Sattva Guna.
The moment he finished his pastimes and reached the supreme abode, at that very moment Kaliyuga entered the world. Because of that, the mind-set of human beings drifted towards sin. As long as Lord Krishna kept touching the earth with his lotus feet, Kaliyug could not establish its foot.
Age of Kaliyuga
Age of Kaliyuga is twelve hundred years according to the year calculation of the Gods. According to the calculation of humans it is four lakh thirty two thousand years. Historical scholars say that the day Lord Krishna left for his supreme abode, at that very moment, Kaliyug started. When a thousand years will pass according to the annual calculation of the Gods, then in the last days of Kaliyuga, again by the grace of Lord Kalki, Satvikta will spread in the minds of humans. People will be able to know their true nature and from then onwards Satyayuga will also begin and age of kaliyuga will end.
